Gaushala

Goshala

Hindus worship the Gau (Cow); it is regarded as an abode of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. It is believed that one can attain liberation by simply serving a cow. Our scriptures praise the glory of the cow as not only as sacred but also as an auspicious of all being. Hindus have given the cow the position of a mother. Worshiping the cow takes us to the path of attaining Artha, Dharma, Kama, and Moksha.

Panchgavya, blend of five products (milk, curd, ghee, urine and cow dung) which are used at time of Abhishekam of the lord, obtained from the Indian cow holds an

important place in the Ayurvedic medicines and is described at length as medicine, pesticide, manure and for various other household remedies.

Koiripur, Located in Varanasi, holds a pious and holy land of Lord Shiva. With the blessing of Shree Nageshwar Mahadev, our Seva Trust has built a large cowshed. Seva Trust focuses on helping the stranded cows who suffer from Food, Shelter, Care, and Disease.

Our Aim
  • Regular yajnas are performed in the Gaushalas for the health and wellbeing of the Gaumata so that all gaumatas can live happily.
  • To save cows from sickness, starving and slaughtering
  • To perform service to cows by keeping them in the Gaushala and provide conducive environment proper feeding and proper medical facilities
  • To Establish the significance of Cow as ‘mother for all’ throughout the world.
  • To exhibit and present the importance of cow wealth

Support to Women Self Help Groups

Support to Women

When it comes to woman support, a woman lags behind men significantly. Women are often viewed as future housewives and family caretakers. They are often deprived of higher education and in some cases even school education. Being educated gives an equal opportunity for women to be skilled workers who use their learning as a boon that will help better the future of their families and their communities. Most women go through social evils like child marriage, dowry and improve maternal health.

Undoubtedly, for some women, simply learning a new skill can be hugely valuable and confidence-boosting. But there is little hard evidence that these schemes actually help women to earn a living, or empower them in any meaningful sense.

The objective of Shree Nageshwar Mahadev Seva trust is to:

  • Empower the women population especially from the deprived backgrounds with effective professional skills leading to appropriate livelihood opportunities
  • Helping and teaching women to stand on their feet to lead a bright future. This is in part because the barrier to entry is low, so these programs are accessible to women who may not have had much formal education and in part due to constraints on women – most of these jobs can be done in female-only environments or at home:
    • Hairdressing
    • Tailoring
    • Cooking
    • Writing
    • Basic Accounts
    • Driving
    • Farming

These services are not only high in demand but also offer time flexibility on one hand and the option to operate out of home or in the house, most suitable for the support seeking women population.
